PhotoCleaner (“the Application”) is an independent Android application developed by TheXcoder.
The Application helps you browse photos already stored on your device, review a selection, and request deletion through Android’s own media tools.
PhotoCleaner is designed to work entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what the Application accesses and how that information is handled.
PhotoCleaner does not require registration or an account.
The Application does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics, and it does not upload your photos to the developer or to a cloud service operated for the Application.
PhotoCleaner does not request internet access. An internet connection is not required to use it.
PhotoCleaner only accesses the photos you allow through Android’s permission system.
Depending on your Android version and the choice you make, that may be your photo library or a smaller set of photos you select.
To group, preview, and measure those photos, the Application reads information such as:
The Application also reads overall device storage figures so it can show total storage, available storage, and the size of the photos you can access.
PhotoCleaner displays photos from your device’s media library. It does not keep its own copy of your photo library and it does not change photo files or their metadata.
Photo information is used on your device to:
PhotoCleaner does not delete photos by itself. When you choose to remove a selection, it asks Android’s media system to move those photos to Trash or to delete them permanently.
Android shows its own confirmation before the request is carried out.
Trash and permanent deletion can behave differently depending on your Android version and device manufacturer. Photos moved to Trash may continue to use storage until Trash is emptied or expires. Permanent deletion cannot be undone.
PhotoCleaner stores a few settings locally on your device:
These settings stay on the device. They are not sent to the developer.
Android backup of the Application’s own data is turned off.
PhotoCleaner does not sell personal information.
The developer does not receive your photos, photo metadata, or in-app settings through the Application.
If you contact support, the developer receives the information you choose to send, such as your message and email address. That correspondence is used to respond to your request.
Settings stored by PhotoCleaner remain on the device until you clear the Application’s data or uninstall it.
Uninstalling PhotoCleaner does not delete the photos in your library. Photos are removed only when you confirm a deletion request, or when you delete them yourself through Android.
If you contact support, correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request. You may ask for that correspondence to be deleted through the contact page.
PhotoCleaner is limited to the photo access you grant and is built to avoid sending that information off the device.
You can review or change photo access in your Android settings. Keeping your device protected helps keep the photos stored on it protected as well.
No application can guarantee absolute security of data stored on a device.
PhotoCleaner is a photo management utility and is not specifically directed at children.
The Application does not ask for a name, account, or other personal details to be used.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Application changes or when the explanation of its behaviour needs to be clearer.
Updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
